State Law for Annual Statement Publication
Georgia law (Section 33-3-16) mandates that every insurance company operating in the state must submit an Annual Statement by March 1st. This statement, sworn by an officer or agent, must summarize the company’s income, assets, expenditures, and liabilities as of December 31st of the prior year.
The statement must be published at the company’s expense in a newspaper of general circulation in Georgia during February or March.
Once published, a copy of the statement and proof of publication must be filed with the commissioner.
